.....this week I got married. We were friends from 6th form, and got together 10 years later when we both lived in London. He went to school with all my closest girlfriends. They thought it was weird when we got together as they'd always known him as the naughty boy from school! Here are some pictures from our wedding. I haven't looked at them for a while so it was nice for me (and indulgent) to go back through them looking at all the happy faces and see the fun we and everyone else had. It was a good wedding, and an awesome party! We got married at the Old Market in Brighton which unfortunately isn't used as a venue any more, such a shame, it is a lovely place and far removed from all the soulless hotels there are around brighton. We had the whole she-bang there, marriage and reception. My dress was by David Fielden and I L O V E D it...in fact I'm thinking about digging it out and flouncing around in it just to do the washing up or something. I need to find a reason to wear it again...such a waste for just one day. Someone I know had theirs cut up into a christening gown for their baby..and while I think that's a nice idea and a good way to use it, we didn't get married in church and so definitely won't be getting Stanley christened! I do love a good wedding, so much fun!

my very naughty uncle, and my dad laughing his socks off

All photos (apart from the second one) were taken by Neil Walker. A great photographer and a lovely guy.

A LOVELY WET WEEKEND

We had very good friends come and stay with us this weekend. We have not see them for almost a year  as they live in Somerset so it was lovely to catch up and see our little boys play together so well. They are about 9 months apart in age and really were totally lovely togther. Sharing toys and holding hands for most of the weekend. It was cute to watch and made us feel very happy and relaxed knowing they were getting on so well. They of course did not mind the rain and actually it seems that whenever we as families meet up the weather is normally like this! So we took it in our stride and went out anyway. Stanley tried and LOVED his first ever hot chocolate - I think we'll be sharing more of those if this British Summer continues!

Sunday was a much better day weather wise which was great. We went on the little Volks Railway line from the Marina to Brighton Pier and had a traditional seaside fish and chips of course! We stopped in the Fishing Museum which is tiny but very cute with all it's local fishing paraphernalia. Wonderful time spent with friends in weather that was ok in the end! Hope you all had great weekends too.

LATELY

these photos are from last sunday when the weather was glorious. really glorious. who'd have thought it in february. the sort of weather that makes me so happy i moved back to the seaside. it makes me feel like a cat soaking up precious rays, no jacket on. warming my back as i walked along and topping up vital vitamin d levels... spring finally felt like it was coming and i cannot wait. particularly this year as i have a little buddy with me all day to share this lovely part of the year with. he was loving the day and it was as if he was saying "why the heck have we not been here before?!" well i'm sorry but it's been too cold and wet and you can't walk yet mister ;)

oh i know pictures of me hey?! husband had the camera. rare thing...
