.....this week I got married. We were friends from 6th form, and got together 10 years later when we both lived in London. He went to school with all my closest girlfriends. They thought it was weird when we got together as they'd always known him as the naughty boy from school! Here are some pictures from our wedding. I haven't looked at them for a while so it was nice for me (and indulgent) to go back through them looking at all the happy faces and see the fun we and everyone else had. It was a good wedding, and an awesome party! We got married at the Old Market in Brighton which unfortunately isn't used as a venue any more, such a shame, it is a lovely place and far removed from all the soulless hotels there are around brighton. We had the whole she-bang there, marriage and reception. My dress was by David Fielden and I L O V E D it...in fact I'm thinking about digging it out and flouncing around in it just to do the washing up or something. I need to find a reason to wear it again...such a waste for just one day. Someone I know had theirs cut up into a christening gown for their baby..and while I think that's a nice idea and a good way to use it, we didn't get married in church and so definitely won't be getting Stanley christened! I do love a good wedding, so much fun!

All photos (apart from the second one) were taken by Neil Walker. A great photographer and a lovely guy.

JUBILEE WEEKEND part two.

soooo, the second part of our jubilee weekend was A LOT wetter. and i mean A LOT. my parents road was having a street party and all was orgained. me and Stanley thought we go and see what all the fuss was about and hopefully just eat loads of cake. everything was fine until at exactly 1pm when everyone came to sit down for food and the rain came...and never stopped. in a typical british manner we ate soggy sausage rolls and tried to pretend it wasn't raining. then we all went to the pub nearby....oh well, S enjoyed himself as usual!

maybe from my smily face you wouldn't know that i have the soggiest bum ever

JUBILEE WEEKEND part one.

we drove up to london town (not to see the queen) but to see friends for their little girls birthday party. stanley loved it. it was the first proper party he'd been to and he loved it all. the music, dancing, games, presents and food. we had such fun. it was lovely to see old friends in the area of hackney we used to live in. we also popped down the road to broadway market to catch up with a few more old faces. when we got to the pub it was buzzing! an amazing ska band was playing great stuff and so we stopped to have a beer and let stanley join in the fun. we drove back a very tired happy baby and a happy couple of parents!

PARTY PARTY

we went to not one, but two jubilee parties over the last two days. stanley was in his element all weekend being the centre of attention. this little mister has really come into his own recently and just loves to show off. i'm finding him particularly funny at the minute too. we are such little buddies it's lovely - i feel i really understand him which maybe sounds like a daft thing to say but i know that little ones get so frustrated at times and the tears come all too easily when he doesn't feel like he can communicate what he means. his language is coming along well too. he is learning words every day which never ceases to amaze me... i will do a post soon about that.
in the meantime before i post hundreds of photos from our wet parties i thought i'd leave you with stanley showing off his dance moves.... hope you all had fun celebrating the Queen's diamond jubilee.

PS if you could take a second to VOTE that'd be just ace. Thanks xoxo
