I'm participating in this feature that started over at the lovely jodie's blog. And so it seems so are a few others, tigerlilyquinn and bleubird to name a few! It is a simple idea but one that doesn't put too much pressure on me. I couldn't handle doing a portrait a day as much as I'd love to, as it is I'm typically a day late with this one already. No matter, I will endeavour to continue to post on time every Sunday a portrait of my ever changing boy. I'm also collecting (for me at the minute) a picture a day of him to animate. I started on his birthday and hope to continue for the whole year so I can speed it up and see how much he changes in front of my eyes! Hopefully I'll be able to share bits and pieces of that project as I go along....

In the meantime here is my first portrait. My personal brief I have set is to capture a little more of his personality in each image. His quirks, his likes and dislikes, the things that make him who he is. I aim to take them outside when I can to make more of the environment I live in, make the most of the light available and make me less lazy and complacent with where I take the photos....
