"A picture of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013"

Just one of those moments captured that are so mundane but so very lovely. Sitting on our bed in the morning stuffing nappies as Stanley asked to be put in our bed so he could get "oooh all cozy". He then picked up his little collection of books and read me his version of the story while I continued my task. I love moments like this, and I'm glad I stopped it just for a few seconds to capture it. It's a messy picture, and not wonderfully in focus, or particularly artistic, but the content is special to me. I'm really enjoying joining in with Jodi.

  3. "oooh all cozy" - love it!
That's the beauty of the 52 project - capturing all those little moments over the year that could otherwise be forgotten.
I cooed over that duvet cover in TK Maxx the other day - kicking myself I didn't just buy it as it looks great!

just randomly - what cloth diapers do you use? i just had my 2nd babe and am looking to add a few to the collection and was looking for feedback on any other brands. i'm currently using bumGenius AIOs and some Thirsties wraps with inserts but I'm not terribly in love with the Thirsties.

    1. Hi Brigid, have you tried Bambooty? We didn't really get on with Thirsties either but bambooty and bumgenius work great for us (and bambooty are the only ones that seem to work overnight)...

    2. great, thanks! i feel like bumGenius have been just ok for overnights. it just depends on the night i guess so we've gotten in the habit of using disposables just for overnights but i would really love to find ones that do hold up well overnight.

    3. Hello,
Yes we use mainly bumgenius, some tots bots in the day too. I find bumgenius don't work overnight for us, in fact nothing has done so far but I'm hoping to try the bambooty to see now Hattie has recommended!
We use a disposable at night, but never feel too bad as we are saving the planet by day ;)

    4. We use itti bitti il tutto's overnight(most of the time - or else disposables) & they are really good. My son is a heavy wetter but you can fully customise the soakers inside & they're not really bulky either.

  6. It's a lovely pic. Reminds me of one of the few nice things about this glum time of year: the boy scrambling into our bed when we wake him up because, "Oooo mummy, it's a bit chilly, isn't it?"

  8. Thats what I am loving about this project. Even if the picture isn't perfect the content is a special moment in time to you and a record of that week for your little one and where they were at. Lovely.
