LATELY

quiet mornings in bed with this one waiting for the sun to rise // happy amusing himself as long as there is a train or car involved // peek-a-boo with the boy in the mirror // we are laying down reclaimed parquet in our spare room, it's like your worst nightmare of a jigsaw puzzle // I baked apple bread, it was amazing and I will be baking more of it // this is where his hand is always placed when I read to him *heart melts* //

LATELY

So I have been busy, as you know. But hey that is boring news and makes for rubbish photos. When I have not been so busy I have mostly been doing this...

Thinking about replacing our original metal windows with new wooden ones // Waking up to some amazing sunrises thanks to Stanley // Feeling my heart burst as I watch my favourite moment of Christmas this year so far // getting my helper to cross of things on my Christmas shopping list // enjoying ice cream no matter how cold it is outside // braving the seafront for good air in our lungs

LATELY, AUTUMN

Lately round here things have definitely taken an autumnal turn. I'm not complaining mind you - I love the colours that go with Autumn, especially when you get to enjoy them in crisp bright sunshine rather than colour stealing rain. We have more adventures planned in this Autumn, before the cold sets in and makes trips out just a bit too unbearable.

1. Bay leaves drying // 2. Spice jar sort out // 3. The small, {but better than last year} squash crop from our garden // 4. Sad little pumpkin face // 5 & 6. Dried hydrangea. I love these flowers, alive or dead! // 7. Coats, hats and blankets beginning to pile up on our rack // 8. Papers in preparations for my day in the printing studio next thursday

How is your Autumn looking where ever you are? Hope you have happy exciting weekends ahead. Happy friday :)

LATELY

Wow, lately round here it has been HOT HOT HOT. And I've enjoyed every second of it. I have managed to wear some very neglected summer clothes and been able to hang out with Stanley in the garden which feels like an extra room in this weather, as well as enjoy beach time as a family. I hope you have all had good weeks where you are and have been enjoying whatever weather you have! What have you been up to?

LATELY

1. Grapes are obviously more fun to eat plucked straight from the vine and as an interesting choking hazard :/
2. Outgrowing the baby bath but we are on a water meter and I hate wasting water even though it has rained for {what seems like} the last million days.
3. Bath time is always good fun until I want to wash his hair. He HATES it.
4. I need to wean this baby off his morning and evening bottle but I will miss the little routine and watching the way he sucks on it so much.
5. It's been a noodle kind of week round here. And all from the amazing Plenty book.
6. He's finally taken to wearing a bib when eating. No more fighting me and trying to rip it off his neck. In fact he likes his bib so much he wants to wear it all round the house all the time!
7. I hear a rumour we won't be needing these soon. Note the matching Daddy & Stanley yellow jackets. All together now...."ahhhhhhhhhhh".
8. I think it's time for the mullet to go, but of course I'll keep a little lock.

update: the sun is shining today! really shining...long may it last!

and also, thank you SO much for all your lovely comments on my last post. the things you said were very kind and mean a lot, so thank you xoxo
